At Hannah Ruth Photography, we believe that any wedding is an opportunity to capture the love and joy between two people. Our FAQ page covers the most common questions received at HRP. My goal is to provide brides-to-be with all the information they need to make choosing their photographer a breeze.
Frequently Asked Questions
"HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK OUR PHOTOGRAPHER?"
It’s probably in your best interest to book about a year in advance. If your engagement is shorter, make booking your photographer a priority to reserve your spot on their calendar as soon as possible.
"WHAT'S YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?"
My photography style is a balanced mix of traditional and documentary style. I want to help tell your story through photographs, so I aim to capture the big moments and all their emotions from your day as well as the small details that help tell the whole story.
"DO YOU OFFER ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SESSIONS?"
Yes, and I highly suggest choosing a package that includes an engagement session so we can work together before your wedding day. When you can see a gallery of our work together before your wedding day, then we can save so much time because we know what you love most and what looks best posing. We can skip the poses and prompts that didn’t work well for your engagement session and maximize our time when it counts.
Brides often use their engagement session as a trial run with hair or makeup to see how it looks in photos. Then they can give feedback to their stylists if any adaptations need to be made for the wedding day.
"HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE AND WHAT'S THE TURN-AROUND TIME?"
Depending on how many hours you hire me and if you upgrade to a second shooter, I will typically deliver 1500+ photos in a wedding gallery for you to choose from. In your package, you will have a set number of downloads. Of course you can always upgrade and purchase your full gallery. You can expect a sneak peek on social media within 48 hours and your full gallery within 60 days.
"DO YOU HAVE A BACKUP CAMERA AND A BACKUP PLAN?"
Yes, I have several backup cameras that are always with me. My cameras all have dual card slots in case of tech failure. I also am connected to a great network of other photographers that I work with often. In case of emergency, I would connect with them for help.
"CAN WE PROVIDE A SHOT LIST OR SPECIFIC PHOTO REQUESTS?"
Absolutely, and I walk you through this to help you.
"WHAT SETS YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY APART FROM OTHERS?"
As a wedding photographer, I am not just looking through the lens of photography for your day. I am looking at your event as a whole with the intention to tell your story. I am an excellent communicator and planner, so the day of the wedding you should know exactly what to expect from me. I provide a very detailed photography itinerary for your wedding day, so I am well aware of your vision for the day and will do everything to help bring that vision to life for you.
